3. What personal data we collect

The alenko-flooring.com website is primarily informational, but certain pages include inquiry/contact forms. When you contact us — via an inquiry form, e-mail or phone/WhatsApp — the data we may receive includes:

  • name and surname;
  • company name;
  • e-mail address;
  • telephone number;
  • project/contact details;
  • floor area and floor/substrate information;
  • requested product;
  • any other information you voluntarily enter.

When preparing a quotation or contract, we additionally process the company/customer data necessary for business operations (name, address, OIB/VAT number).

4. How inquiry forms work

  • The website form does not store your data in any database.
  • There is no backend database for inquiry data, no third-party form service and no API/form-submission service.
  • When you click Send, the website generates a mailto: message and opens it in your own e-mail client.
  • The message is addressed to: office@alenko-flooring.com.

The website itself does not send e-mail through its own SMTP or API system; the message is sent from your device by your e-mail application.

5. Purposes and legal bases for processing

  • Responding to enquiries and providing product information – legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Preparing quotations and concluding contracts – performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Fulfilling accounting, tax and other legal obligations – legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

6. E-mail infrastructure

The address office@alenko-flooring.com uses Cloudflare Email Routing. Cloudflare forwards incoming e-mail to office.alenko@gmail.com, which is a standard Gmail account (not Google Workspace).

Google/Gmail is used solely as a technical service for business e-mail communication.

7. Third-party services

  • Cloudflare – DNS, CDN/proxy, security, Cloudflare Bot Management and Email Routing.
  • Google Fonts – fonts are currently loaded from Google's servers. When fonts are loaded, your browser may transmit standard technical data to Google, including your IP address and browser information.
  • jsDelivr – certain pages use the jsDelivr CDN for technical web resources.
  • WhatsApp – used only through plain click-to-chat links. There is no embedded WhatsApp component; data is transferred to WhatsApp only when you click a WhatsApp link.

8. Cookies

This website does not use:

  • Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager;
  • advertising or marketing cookies;
  • behavioural tracking or session recording.

Cloudflare may set the __cf_bm cookie, which is used for a security/bot-management function and is not an ALENKO marketing or tracking cookie.

9. International data transfers

Because ALENKO d.o.o. is established in Bosnia and Herzegovina and certain technical and communication service providers may process personal data internationally, personal data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Where Chapter V GDPR applies, ALENKO will rely on an applicable legal transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards available under applicable data-protection law.

10. Data retention

Inquiry data is retained for as long as necessary to respond and for reasonable business follow-up. If no business relationship develops, the data is not kept longer than necessary. Accounting and business documentation is retained for the periods prescribed by law.

11. Data recipients

Your data may be accessible to:

  • ALENKO d.o.o. and its authorised personnel;
  • accounting and legal advisers, where necessary;
  • technical service providers involved in the website and e-mail infrastructure, including Cloudflare and Google.

Personal data is not sold to third parties and is not used for third-party advertising.

12. Your rights

You have the right to: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, data portability where applicable, and withdrawal of consent where applicable. To exercise these rights, contact us at: office@alenko-flooring.com, or our EU representative:

Alen Bašić, Ivana Duknovića 59, 23000 Zadar, Croatia.

13. Supervisory authorities

You can file a complaint with the supervisory authority: in Croatia, the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP, azop.hr); in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Agency for Personal Data Protection (AZLP, azlp.ba).

14. Policy changes
